Everybody’s perspective is different. But there shouldn’t be a disclaimer to justify the love we think we deserve.
Love shouldn’t be going days without talking. Love shouldn’t be staying mad. Love shouldn’t be hanging on a thread. Love shouldn’t be getting left there wondering if things will ever be okay again.
Love shouldn’t be explaining that you’re broken, though it’s no excuse but you can’t help it that it causes you to need more assurance. Love shouldn’t be apologizing for being too much. Love shouldn’t be having to apologize for being “difficult” on bad days.
Love shouldn’t be sleepless nights with tears on your pillow. Love shouldn’t be doubting whether you’ll be worth the fight. Love shouldn’t be giving up praying that he didn’t. Love shouldn’t be getting left out in the cold wishing that you have done more to keep him.
Love shouldn’t be like that. Love should be knowing what love feels like where you wouldn’t be reminded of what it shouldn’t be.
